The Dreams

We sleep only to dream and live the life that we so dream of living while awake

Yet we hesitate on the choices and life threatening decisions we make

We have good rewarding dreams but want to change those that seem to disturb us

We live each day hoping life was as a dream which we control by deep and shallow thoughts

Some of us live a life that may be as disturbing as the dreams you dream

Do you want to awaken or fall deeper your eyes play out the scenes of your dreams

The heartbeat quickens as you approach the moment in time

You lose control the dream has possessed the mind

The jittering words you slur upon are pieces you bring to life

The spaces in between you search for once upon the day light

We dream and remember vague but true visions

The dreams we dream are to be said as endless missions neither good nor bad

We dream dreams we wanted to and dreams we wish we never had

We tell others of our fantasy dreams violent acts and howling screams

We tell others that it’s only a dream there’s no one or nothing to fear

Your dreams may give you life or take your breath for dreams we call the silent death
