Escape the Walls

I sit in peace and collect my thoughts puzzling pieces

The bitter cold strips the trees and leaves them leafless

The warmth of the fireplace melts away my troubled face

I drift in and out the cold torn by shredded emotions

The words I speak frozen with breath caged speechless

I walk the path painted motionless with a snow fallen heart

My echoing heart beat trembles and disturbs the shivering ice

The day is put to sleep along side the riverbed

My tears run to a sacred place where freed to cry

The winds persuades me to follow after them

The living sun has risen to give light unto the earth

My life is cold, dark and dying now hidden away

I sat in peace in darkness for my eyes are closed

With my weary soul locked away in a prison cell
